Savor Today: 3 things to do today for more joy

I don't want Savor Today to feel like another phrase we throw around (#LIVELAUGHLOVE). The reality of our lives isn't easily fixed that way especially when house chores never end, health diagnoses may not change, jobs are lost, pandemics keep us home and feeling anxious...(fill-in what causes your heart to be troubled).

I am launching the collection to truly inspire you (and me) to take the moments we need to rest, pray, mourn, throw an adult tantrum. After that, remember today is a gift. Create healthy habits for your heart and home, stick to your rhythms, and let sweet moments overwhelm you more than anything else whirling around you.

Easier said than done especially if your day is more than just laundry piling up and kids misbehaving. I get that. I do, but there are small things we can do to create a little more joy and peace.

Here are three things you can do today to experience joy:

  1. Grab your favorite morning drink and sit for 30 minutes in the quiet making a gratitude list. 

  2. Call a friend and check in on them. See how you can serve them this week (host a virtual game night, send them takeout, surprise them with a gift).

  3. Make a list of three things you want to focus on today! Just three. For me, it's wash bedroom floors, package Savor Today mugs, and organize clothes my kid's have outgrown.
