8 Tips for Spring Cleaning
As a mom of three, I get a bit overwhelmed with all the purging, cleaning and organizing that needs to be done - there’s just so much that accumulates. Focusing on it seasonally helps with the to do lists. I use this worksheet for my husband and I to dump all that needs to be done. It creates more peace and joy around a task that needs to be done.
8 tips for a spring refresh
Print this worksheet to make a list of all that needs to be cleaned, purged, purchased, and sold.
Take one room or task at a time and make sure you delegate the list. Don’t move on until your task is complete.
Thrift your items before making new purchases. I use this to help me shop with more intention. Instead of buying new flat sheets, I found two new ones at Goodwill. I am making duvet covers with flat sheets that no child loves using!
Shop your own home for decor. Swap out items and place them in different rooms. I love using my kid’s art room for my walls - their abstract paintings are my favorite.
Host a swap party! Have your friends bring their clothing and home goods items to share with others. Add food and drinks for a good time.
Don’t forget about cleaning and purging your phone apps and photos. If you’re like me, your phone may be alerting you about your low storage. Delete photo duplicates and print your photos. I use this for a free hardcover upgrade.
Tell friends what you need to avoid purchasing new things. I needed a wood filler, told a friend and now I am using some from her container. Share your things!
Make a weekly rhythm when it comes to cleaning. We do Friday Family Cleaning. We put on music, delegate chores and get it done on Friday for a restful weekend together.
